Getting There is Half the Fun

Months, even years, of planning and I am finally 8 DAYS out from what most people tell me will be one of the greatest experiences of my entire life. Excited? YES! Nervous? Not yet... maybe something's wrong with me, or maybe I'm just not close enough to it yet, but I'd prefer to think of it as God's peace. I just KNOW this is where I'm supposed to be going and what I'm supposed to be doing. The path has been laid out before me... I just have to follow it.


I've always said that getting there is half the fun and I still believe that. Although packing (I could take my dog and my younger sister with me in my massive bags) and getting things in order (i.e.- money, phone situation, vaccinations, last minute emails/phone calls) are a little overwhelming, I find the whole process exhilarating because I know all of it will soon lead me to the experience of a lifetime.


As of now I resolve to update this blog at least once a month (if not more often) as I want to make sure to keep track of and remember my experiences as much as you want to hear about them. Once again... I can't wait to make this amazing journey! And stepping onto that plane will only be the first (exciting) leg!
