So the day has finally arrived and from what I can tell my stomach knows it more than my head. It's funny how that works... in my head I'm not nervous or worried at all but my stomach is acting like I'm about to jump off a cliff without a harness. This internal design seems like a pretty smart move on the Creator's part, at least I can think straight even while the rest of me is freaking out.
Anyway, my bags are packed (pray that they are under the 50 lb weight limit) and so far I feel as though I've done a pretty thorough job of it. Oh, and in case any of you were wondering (I know some of you put in a request), there's no room left in my bags for anyone else to come with me. Sorry guys. I've never flown on my own before so add that to the list of new experiences.
I leave at 4PM today, arrive in Dallas, TX this evening, and leave for Santiago later tonight. Luckily the longest leg of my flight (9.5 hrs approx) is over night. I will arrive in Córdoba, Argentina at 12:25 their time, which is EST + 1hr.
Thank you so much to everyone for your prayers and wishes for safe travels. Words can't express how grateful I am for your support and encouragement.
Hoy: USA Mañana: Argentina
Let's do this.
